Our First Ever Pop-Up — Scottish Fashion Expo

What a day ❤️
On 17 October, we took Retrospekt Apparel to our first ever pop-up shop at the very first Scottish Fashion Expo, hosted at BAaD – Barras Art and Design in Glasgow.
This was a huge moment for us. Until this point, Retrospekt had mainly been an online brand, so getting the chance to bring the clothes into a real space, meet people and actually see people wearing our pieces was something we had been looking forward to for a long time.
The event was put together by @Scottsfashionexpo and hosted by @abi.akin, bringing together loads of amazing up-and-coming Scottish fashion brands, designers and creatives. It was so good to see so many independent brands all in one place, each bringing their own style, ideas and personality to the Scottish fashion scene.
For us, it was about much more than just selling clothes. It was about meeting people, making connections and showing people what Retrospekt is all about. Seeing our little pop-up sitting alongside so many other Scottish brands was a really proud moment.
Events like this are so important for the Scottish fashion community. There is so much talent here, and giving smaller and emerging brands the opportunity to showcase what they are building, meet other creatives and connect with new people can make such a difference.
We left the day feeling inspired and honestly a little bit addicted to the idea of doing more pop-ups 😂. It showed us just how much we enjoy bringing Retrospekt into the real world and being around the people who support what we're building.
This day definitely pushed us to start looking for more opportunities to get out there, meet our community and create experiences around the brand.

This was our first ever pop-up — and it definitely wasn't going to be our last.
